NSW Continence Promotion Centre

The Continence Promotion Centre is the NSW branch of the Continence Foundation of Australia. We are dedicated to raising awareness and supporting people in preventing, managing and treating continence related issues. 

Services offered

  • Outreach program: This is a part-time clinical service where an experienced nurse can come to your home to assess continence related issues. This service is free for those living in the Penrith, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains areas and prioritises the frail aged and those with disabilities.
  • Bedwetting clinic: Do you have a child aged between 5-18 years who loses control of their bladder or bowel?  Make an appointment with our experienced nurse who can create a management plan to help treat childhood incontinence.
  • Guest speakers: Health professionals can come and speak to your community group to raise awareness of the simple lifestyle that can improve and prevent incontinence.
  • Education: Educational events can be planned for health professionals such as physiotherapists, nurses and GPs and can cover a variety of continence related topics.  These may count towards professional development points.
  • Resources: A variety of resources are available for both the public and health professional.There are pamphlets, books, fact sheets, journal articles and videos and most of these resources are free of charge.
  • Health Promotion: Our Health Promotion Officer can attend community events, expos and forums to help increase awareness of continence related issues. 
  • Referrals: Most continence services within NSW are registered with the Continence Foundation. If you need to know what services are close to you then contact us.

SA Continence Resource Centre

The SA Continence Resource Centre is a state-wide continence information and advisory service located at Disability Service’s Independent Living Centre. The Continence Resource Centre is affiliated with the Continence Foundation of Australia and funded by the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion.

The Continence Foundation of Australia provides the SA Continence Resource Centre with continence management information, research information, project support, continence literature for distribution in the community and can organise a highly qualified range of speakers able to give education talks and lectures on every aspect of continence problems. The Resource Centre is able to provide to consumers, information education and advice regarding continence issues, pads and appliances.

Victorian Continence Resource Centre (VCRC)

The VCRC is a not for profit organisation operated by the Continence Foundation of Australia Victorian Branch and is funded by the Victorian Government through a Home and Community Care (HACC) grant. Our service provision is underpinned by a health promotion framework that incorporates the key principals of promoting wellness, social engagement and person-centred care.

We offer:

  • healthpromotion to prevent the future development of incontinence by promoting the adoption of healthy bladder and bowel habits
  • provision of community education activities
  • provision of evidence-based and best practice continence health education and training programs to paid carers and health professionals
  • partnering with key organisations to undertake projects that raise awareness in specific groups
  • resource development and provision to consumers, community groups and health professionals
  • continence assessments and treatment via our NDIS registered Bladder and Bowel clinic.
