Continence Health Australia is a not-for-profit organisation and peak body promoting bladder and bowel control health.

We empower people with trusted information, advocate for better policies and help normalise conversations about incontinence (bladder and bowel leakage).

over 15 years old experience incontinence – that’s over 7.2 million people in Australia

Almost 4 in 10 women and 2 in 10 men

experience incontinence in Australia. Women* are twice as likely as men* to have incontinence
*‘Women’ and ‘men’ include anyone with similar health needs, regardless of sex at birth or gender identity.

7 in 10 are younger than 65

although there’s a higher rate of incontinence among older people
